Short story . . . went  . . . with a guy who I have known for 25 years.  He has a male black lab . . . Nice dog, he trained himself, he hunts where he wants and usually just beyond gun range.  Very good nose and experienced for sure.  Krosse did the work he would not do, covering the space between and outside the two of us . . .  sent me a note this morning saying that Krosse is going to become a great dog some day!  Some day?

Krosse was perfect!  She swept the four of us at perfect gun range . . .  We were in an area of grassy type cover with sage clumps and the like.  I think I might have given a light couple of toots about three times mostly just giving Krosse a verbal here.  Her head would literally snap back toward me and she would come back to check in.  She had a nose of gold . . . She ran like a rocket . . .  Good work Tim Harris!
