Training by yourself is a lonely prospect, and a difficult one when it comes to set-ups and throwing birds on your own! That’s why we offer options for group fieldwork. By working with other handlers, you’ll learn from the experiences of other dogs and handlers, and have opportunities to compare handling tips and tricks. Ranch Rug-ged Field Training Group Every afternoon (12 p.m. until finished) Tuesday through Saturday, weather permitting, the Rugged Retriever Field Group does land and water training on our 200-acre facility in Calhan. Qualified handlers can train with this group, subject to availabilities and approval by the senior trainer. Your Own Field Training Group Form your own field training group when you and fellow handlers become members of Ranch Rug-ged. You’ll have the opportunity to conduct regular training sessions at the Rug-ged Retriever facilities and training building in Calhan.
